FDLE agent fatally shoots man after street altercation in SW Miami-Dade
A Florida Department of Law Enforcement agent fatally shot a man during a physical altercation in southwest Miami-Dade on September 17. The victim, identified by his roommate as 27-year-old Daniel Shand, was pronounced dead at the scene near Southwest 140th Street. The agent, who sustained minor injuries, was placed on administrative leave. The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident, which prompted a temporary lockdown at a nearby middle school.
