Valve released a sizeable SteamVR update that adds standard Steam features and a VR-native dashboard experience in preparation for the Steam Frame standalone headset, including a Deck-style Quick Access UI, easier overlay management, better battery info and brightness controls, while price and exact release date for Steam Frame remain undisclosed.
Microsoft has revealed a new Xbox dashboard for 2023, which features smaller tiles with larger spacing and persistent on-screen icons at the top of the display. The primary row of tiles has been shrunk somewhat, and given increased padding so you can see your dynamic background a little more easily. The "ads" row still exists, but Microsoft would be leaving revenue at the door by removing this. The new dashboard is available to Skip Ahead/Alpha users in the Xbox Insider Program.
