Jeff Sims, the quarterback for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, has been named to the preseason watch list for the Davey O'Brien Award, which recognizes the best college quarterback in the nation. Sims, who previously played for Georgia Tech, enters the 2023 season as one of the few active FBS quarterbacks with over 4,000 career passing yards and 1,000 career rushing yards. He joins two other Nebraska players on national award watch lists.
