Georgia Democrat David Scott dies at 80, ending a two-decade House tenure
Rep. David Scott, a Georgia Democrat who has served in the U.S. House since 2003 and formerly chaired a committee, died unexpectedly at age 80. He was seeking a 13th term in his safely Democratic district, and no cause of death was released.
