Taco Bell Faces Lawsuit Over False Advertising Claims

Taco Bell is facing a class-action lawsuit filed by a New York man who claims that the Mexican Pizza and Crunchwraps he purchased did not match the advertised images, with significantly less filling. The lawsuit accuses Taco Bell of unfair and misleading advertising and seeks over $5 million in damages. Taco Bell has not yet responded to the allegations.

TurboTax to distribute $141M in settlement checks to eligible taxpayers.

Eligible TurboTax customers who paid for tax filing services that were advertised as free will receive their share of Intuit's $141 million settlement for allegedly using deceptive and unfair trade practices. Under the settlement, Intuit agreed to suspend TurboTax's "free, free, free" ad campaign and provide restitution to nearly 4.4 million consumers who used TurboTax's Free Edition for tax years 2016 through 2018. Impacted customers will automatically receive a direct payment of approximately $30 for each year. Checks will be sent out beginning next week and throughout May.
