Delta Flight 2311 executes rapid Las Vegas descent after pressurization fault, oxygen masks deployed
A Delta Air Lines Boeing 737-900 (Flight 2311) diverted from Los Angeles to Salt Lake City after an unexpected pressurization issue, plunging from about 36,200 ft to 9,000 ft in roughly 10 minutes; oxygen masks deployed as the crew followed training, and the aircraft landed in Las Vegas where 174 passengers and six crew members deplaned normally and were rebooked on another flight. Delta apologized and praised its flight crews and ground teams.
