Court demands disclosure of designers behind the $1.8B anti-weaponization fund
A federal magistrate judge ordered the government to reveal who designed and organized the controversial $1.776 billion anti-weaponization fund, created in a settlement between Trump’s private attorneys and the Justice Department and potentially shielding Trump from IRS audits. The fund, which could have paid Jan. 6 rioters, remains the subject of ongoing litigation by Democracy Forward, as the court grants discovery to identify the fund’s architects and how it was organized.
