Sony Pictures Entertainment Posts Flat FY25 Revenue Amid Pixomondo Charges
Sony Pictures Entertainment reported essentially flat fiscal 2025 revenue of about ¥1.499 trillion ($9.92B), as gains from Crunchyroll and a Demon Slayer hit offset declines in theatrical and other TV revenues. Operating income fell 11% to ¥104.9B ($687M, including ¥27.1B in one-time Pixomondo impairment charges); excluding those charges, SPE’s operating income rose about 13% to roughly $858M. The year’s results also showed TV productions up 12%, Media Networks up 13%, and streaming platform sales down 10% to $1.14B. For FY26 SPE expects roughly 9% revenue growth to about ¥1.63 trillion with operating income up about 38%, helped by releases like Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Jumanji: Open World.
