Carnegie Youth Football Brawl Leads to Charges Against Three Coaches
Three youth football coaches in Pennsylvania have been charged with disorderly conduct following a viral on-field brawl during a game for 8- and 9-year-olds. Carnegie Police Chief Jeffrey Kennedy identified Carlynton head coach Dequay Canton as the primary aggressor, while two Keystone Oaks coaches were charged for participating in the fight. Canton claims he acted in response to racial slurs, a claim police say is currently uncorroborated. The Steel City Youth Football League has placed the involved coaches on indefinite leave, and the parent who recorded the incident has been banned from league events.
