Arrest made in shooting of NYPD rookie cop in Queens.
Devin Spraggins, 22, has been charged with attempted murder of a police officer after shooting a rookie NYPD cop in Queens. Spraggins allegedly claimed the gun went off accidentally, but surveillance footage showed him opening fire. The incident occurred after Spraggins got into a fight with a passenger on a city bus. He fled the scene and was later caught by police. The suspect has a prior rape offense from when he was a juvenile. The injured officer is recovering in hospital after undergoing surgery.
