MediaTek Unveils Dimensity 9600 Pro: 2nm Process, 2+3+3 Big-Core Design and 30B On-Device AI MoE

MediaTek announced the Dimensity 9600 Pro and 9600M on a 2nm process. The Pro uses a 2+3+3 All-Big-Core layout (2x C2-Ultra at 4.55 GHz, 3x C2-Pro at 4.35 GHz, 3x C2-Pro at 3.10 GHz) with LPDDR6/UFS 5.0, a Mali G2-Ultra NX GPU, dual AI engines and Generative/Agentic AI 3.0 capable of running up to 30B local MoE models on-device, delivering improved single-core, multi-core performance and power efficiency. The 9600M, in contrast, follows a 1+3+4 layout with LPDDR5X and UFS 4.1. Both chips offer advanced imaging, 8K video support, Wi‑Fi 7 and 5G, with devices expected later this year.
