RPCS3 Extends Direct-from-Disc PS3 Play to Linux, macOS, and FreeBSD
RPCS3 now lets you run PlayStation 3 games directly from Blu-ray discs on Windows, Linux, macOS, and FreeBSD, eliminating the need to dump games to your PC and saving storage space. Compatibility depends on having a Blu-ray drive that can read PS3 discs, so check RPCS3’s compatibility list. This builds on prior updates like direct ISO loading and is the result of work by contributors digant73 and Megamouse.
