NHS to Offer DIY Cervical Cancer Screening Kits
Researchers at King’s College London suggest that DIY cervical-cancer testing kits could lead to over one million additional screenings in the UK, potentially saving lives. The self-testing kits, similar to Covid swabs, are sent to labs for HPV analysis. The NHS is considering a wider rollout following promising trial results, which showed increased participation in screenings, especially among women who find traditional methods uncomfortable or inconvenient.
