Kyiv's ancient Dormition Cathedral ablaze as Russia strikes kill 11
Russian strikes across Ukraine killed at least 11 people, including four in Kyiv and five rescue workers in Kharkiv, and damaged Kyiv’s Dormition Cathedral, a UNESCO-listed site. About 140,000 Kyiv residents lost power; 23 were wounded in Kyiv and 53 nationwide. Russia said it launched 70 missiles and 611 drones, while a Ukrainian drone attack in Tula killed three in Russia. Western leaders condemned the attack as a war crime and urged stronger air defenses.
