Rhys makes Emmy history as sister recalls a proud, surreal night
Matthew Rhys became the first actor to win two lead-acting Emmys in one night, for The Beast In Me and Widow's Bay, with his sister Rachel Evans saying the family has been 'pinching themselves' and describing the moment as surreal; Evans accompanied him to Los Angeles, recalled calling their parents at home, and noted Wales’ support and Rhys's gratitude toward the country during his acceptance, as well as the involvement of his partner, Keri Russell.
