Trump Blames Vandals as DC Reflecting Pool Heads to Drainage After Renovation Woes
The Reflecting Pool in Washington, DC, is set to be drained after algae and peeling paint emerged following a roughly $16 million renovation. Trump blamed vandals for damage, claiming a large gash and possible fertiliser in the water. Five people have been arrested for vandalism and five more cited; DC Water issued a permit to drain and the repair company will fix the structure under warranty. Trump also threatened to sue ABC News over its coverage of the pool.
