Oakland County Boil-Water Advisory: What’s Safe to Use and What to Avoid
Oakland County remains under a boil-water advisory after a 42-inch water main break; repairs were completed May 11 but system flushing and testing will continue through the week with no firm completion date. The advisory covers Orion Township, Rochester Hills, Auburn Hills and Oakland Township, forbidding drinking tap water, using it for cooking or brushing teeth, making ice, washing produce, and other nonessential uses.
