China's Weapon Shipments to Russia Raise Concerns.

Chinese companies have reportedly shipped assault rifles, body armor, and drone parts to Russia between June-December 2022, according to customs data. This is the first documented proof of Beijing supplying Russian companies with dual-use goods. China could be using these items to increase its assistance to Moscow while avoiding reprisals from the US and Europe. One of China's largest state defense contractors, China North Industries Group Corporation Limited, sent 1,000 CQ-A assault rifles to a Russian company in June. More than 12 tons of Chinese body armor was also routed to Russia via Turkey in late 2022. A small Russian distributor received 12 shipments of drone parts from the Chinese drone maker DJI via the UAE in November and December 2022.
