Three Die in I-66 Dunn Loring Crash Involving Oxygen-Tank Truck
Three people died when a Honda Pilot rear-ended a truck carrying oxygen tanks in the westbound express lanes of I-66 at mile 64.3 near the I-495 interchange in Dunn Loring. The Honda caught fire, killing all occupants. A Toyota 4Runner was also involved, and the drivers of the Toyota and the truck were later charged with reckless driving. The express lanes were closed briefly and reopened by nightfall; the investigation continues.
