Iran Determined to Assert Rights over Disputed Durra Gas Field
Iran's Oil Minister, Javad Owji, has stated that if other parties refuse to cooperate, Iran will pursue its rights over the Durra/Arash gas field, including exploration and exploitation, and will not tolerate any violation of its rights. This comes after Kuwait's oil minister announced that his country will begin drilling and production at the Durra gas field without waiting for border demarcation with Iran.
