Koenigsegg CCGT1 Revives Abandoned GT1 Dream with 1,600 HP and Sold-Out 70-Car Run
Koenigsegg has unveiled the CCGT1, a road-legal megacar limited to 70 units that honors the brand’s abandoned early-2000s GT1 racing project. The car features a twin-turbo V8 producing up to 1,600 hp on E85 fuel and generates 800 kg of downforce at 155 mph. All 70 examples were sold within hours of its debut at Monterey Car Week in August 2026. The vehicle introduces a new sequential transmission system and an optional factory track package, marking the first time Koenigsegg offers a comprehensive racing kit for a road car.
