Oklahoma Basketball Suffers Historic 68-64 Loss to East Texas A&M in Season Opener
Oklahoma basketball lost its 2026-27 season opener 68-64 to East Texas A&M, a 28.5-point underdog. The defeat is the second-largest Division I upset by spread in 30 years and marks the first win for East Texas A&M against a Power 4 team. Head coach Porter Moser apologized to fans, citing 15 turnovers and poor free-throw shooting. Oklahoma, which missed the NCAA Tournament last year, now faces a Quad 4 loss that could jeopardize its postseason chances.
