Intense Battle Unfolds as Russian and Ukrainian Forces Clash on Eastern Fronts
Russia has deployed over 180,000 troops to the Lyman-Kupiansk and Bakhmut fronts in eastern Ukraine, with a concentration of forces on the longer Lyman-Kupiansk front. The deployment includes air assault and mechanized units, territorial forces, and new Storm Z assault companies. The Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine reported that a "fight for seizing the initiative" is underway on the Bakhmut front.
