Cary pedestrian killed after SUV strike; Ederlee Drive closed into Wednesday
A 76-year-old Cary woman, Soile Lazarz, died after being struck by a black SUV on Ederlee Drive Wednesday morning. The driver and child passengers were uninjured, and no charges have been filed. Ederlee Drive near Regency Parkway remained closed through late Wednesday afternoon as investigators work the crash, with access to the nearby Symphony Greenway potentially limited.
