Despite Gandolfini's rare agreement to play Tony Soprano for the cause, the recruitment attempt failed, and LeBron joined the Miami Heat instead.

Pete Davidson reminisces about his past Mother's Day gifts for his mom, Amy Davidson, including buying her the same Britney Spears perfume eight years in a row. He also shares that he once bought an uncensored Eminem CD and kept it in a Rod Stewart jewel case, which his mom noticed and they bonded over Rod Stewart songs. Pete's new show, Bupkis, premiered on May 4 on Peacock and features Edie Falco as his mother.
Pete Davidson's new semi-autobiographical sitcom, Bupkis, is tonally all over the map, featuring both broad, juvenile antics and a more thoughtful deconstruction of Davidson's life and onscreen persona. The show is packed with famous friends and fellow comedians, including Edie Falco, Joe Pesci, Jon Stewart, and John Mulaney. While the show is wildly uneven and at times downright annoying, it's also more ambitious and interesting than expected, making viewers curious about the creative direction of a potential second season.

"Bupkis," a new comedy series on Peacock starring Pete Davidson, relies heavily on an all-star cast and high-profile cameos to carry the load. While frequently funny, the show's main appeal is not Davidson's acting chops but rather his tabloid-friendly offscreen life. The series proves stronger when it leans toward the inconsequential and gleefully crude, but sags when it focuses on Davidson's substance-abuse issues. Overall, "Bupkis" is a decent comedy, but its admirable qualities are more in spite of Davidson's self-absorption than because of it.
Pete Davidson's new semi-autobiographical comedy series, Bupkis, presents a "heightened, fictionalized version" of the star's life and is surprisingly likable. The show features a phenomenal ensemble cast and moments of unexpected emotion, making it a millennial Curb Your Enthusiasm minus the sneering misanthropy. While Davidson's character is often selfish and impulsive, the best episodes focus on him as a son, brother, grandson, and nephew. Bupkis premieres on Peacock on May 4th.
Pete Davidson and his mom Amy Davidson shared some of their favorite Mother's Day memories, including the time he made her a croquembouche using Dunkin' Munchkins. Amy also shared her recipe for Pete's favorite onion rice dish, which she cooks for him every Mother's Day as well as doing his laundry. Edie Falco, who will be playing a thinly-veiled version of herself in Davidson's new semi-autobiographical series Bupkis, recalled a Mother's Day when her children made her dinosaur oatmeal and coffee with salt instead of sugar. Davidson will make his guest-hosting debut on SNL on May 6.
Pete Davidson is set to return to Saturday Night Live as a host for the first time on May 6, a year after leaving the cast. He will be promoting his new series, Bupkis, produced by SNL chief Lorne Michaels, which stars Davidson, Joe Pesci, and Edie Falco. Bupkis is a fictionalized version of Davidson's life and premieres on Peacock on May 4.
