Recalled Texas eggs tied to salmonella outbreak across 17 states
Nearly 100 people across 17 states have been infected with salmonella linked to recalled eggs from Midwest Poultry Services in Texas; about 19 million eggs were recalled after precautionary testing, with 26 hospitalizations and no deaths reported. FDA and state investigators are probing additional sources. The recalled eggs were sold in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Mississippi through Kroger, Brookshire Grocery, and foodservice buyers, and can be identified by code P-1950 or 0840962 with Julian Dates 157–184. Consumers should not eat the recalled eggs and return them for a refund.
