Bombay High Court Forces Imran Khan to Apologize for Protest Participation, Extends Stay Until December
The Bombay High Court has ordered actor Imran Khan to tender an unconditional apology for participating in a protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, despite being a US citizen. The court extended his interim relief from a 'Leave India' notice until December 7, emphasizing that Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders do not possess the same rights as Indian citizens, including the right to protest. Khan, who has lived in India for decades, admitted no association with the protest organizers but faced heavy criticism from the bench, which warned him against future involvement in such activities.
