Central Park victim identified as Elise Bainbridge Hill, artist featured in 'Begging Naked' documentary
Elise Bainbridge Hill, a 63-year-old artist and former subject of the documentary 'Begging Naked,' was beaten to death in a Central Park gazebo on Sunday. Police charged 36-year-old Jonathan Robles with murder after he surrendered to officers. Hill, who also went by Francis Lee Rogers, had lived in the park for years, selling bird-themed artwork to tourists. Friends described her as a beloved, intelligent figure in the local birding community despite her struggles with mental illness and homelessness. The suspect, a resident of a Hell's Kitchen shelter, was hospitalized for a hand injury after his arrest.
