Kipchoge Sets Melbourne Course Record at 41, Defying Age in Global Tour
Two-time Olympic champion Eliud Kipchoge won the 2026 Melbourne Marathon in a course-record time of 2:09:10 at age 41. The Kenyan described his body as 'still peaking' and noted the unique experience of racing on the Formula One track and inside the Melbourne Cricket Ground. This victory marks his 17th career marathon win and the third stop on his global tour to run marathons on all seven continents, including Antarctica, to raise funds for his foundation.
