Gears of War: E-Day, rebuilt on Unreal Engine 5, launches October 6, 2026 for Xbox Series X/S and Windows via the Xbox app and Steam with day‑one Game Pass; PlayStation won’t get the game. A prequel to the original saga, it follows Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago during Emergence Day and includes co‑op and PvP multiplayer (PC lacks local co‑op). Three editions are offered (Standard, Premium, Collector’s) with various bonuses, and an open multiplayer beta is planned ahead of launch (pre‑order or Game Pass members get early access August 6–10, with a second open weekend later).
