A woman named Karollyn gave birth to a daughter, Cielle Ray, on the shoulder of Crossover Drive in Golden Gate Park on Saturday after becoming trapped in severe traffic. A doula, Katie Higgins, who was also stuck in the congestion, assisted with the delivery before paramedics arrived. The incident occurred due to a combination of Highway 101 resurfacing closures and a multi-car crash on 19th Avenue. The couple, who requested anonymity, expressed gratitude for the assistance, while the San Francisco Fire Department praised the teamwork involved in the emergency.
