From TikTok to the Big Screen: Epic Odyssey Musical Gets Animated Movie
Epic, the viral TikTok musical retelling of Homer’s Odyssey, is being developed as an animated feature with Jerry Bruckheimer producing alongside creator Jorge Rivera-Herrans and Atlantic Music Group’s Kevin Weaver, with Chad Oman of Jerry Bruckheimer Films also aboard. The nascent project will be shopped to studios and streamers by CAA. Rivera-Herrans began Epic as a Notre Dame senior thesis, turning into a global phenomenon with billions of streams, and the move into film comes as Odyssey adaptations gain momentum in Hollywood.
