Dream Warriors Director Chuck Russell Dies at 74
Chuck Russell, the director of A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors and The Mask, died at 74 at his San Diego–area home. His career also included The Blob (1988) and Eraser, and he wrote Dreamscape; he frequently collaborated with Frank Darabont. Survived by his wife Ania, and his children Logan, Riley and Carlyn, plus sister Anne, Russell described his career as a “magical mystery tour” and a “circus,” underscoring his love for directing across varied genres.
