Billionaire Rick Jackson Launches Late-Stage Bid for Georgia Governor Amidst Primary Chaos
Billionaire entrepreneur Rick Jackson has entered the race for Georgia governor despite having minimal political experience and low name recognition. He announced his candidacy to adviser Eric Tanenblatt in February, just months before the primary, when the field was already dominated by experienced candidates, including a lieutenant governor backed by President Trump. Jackson’s late entry contrasts sharply with the established field, raising questions about his ability to overcome significant disadvantages in a competitive Republican primary.
