
Compton July 4 Shooting Claims Two Community Figures, Vigil Held
Two people were killed at a large July 4th party in Compton: 19-year-old nursing student Meah Bordenave-Jenkins and 37-year-old HACLA employee Eric Washington. A separate nearby shooting left 38-year-old Thaddeus Clark dead, and investigators are seeking the shooter with no arrests announced. A vigil at Compton City Hall highlighted concerns about gun violence in the community.
