Erie, PA: Suspect kills 8 relatives including children and pregnant woman before suicide
A gunman in Erie, Pennsylvania, killed eight people, including children and a pregnant woman, at his home on Friday before taking his own life. Police responded to reports of gunfire on Perry Street around 5 p.m. and found two victims in the street. After a standoff with SWAT teams, officers entered the residence to find seven additional bodies, including the suspect, who died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Erie Police Chief Rick Lorah confirmed the suspect is deceased and stated there is no ongoing threat to the public. Investigators are working to determine the motive but have declined to speculate at this time.
