Greenlaw Ejected After Headbutting Helmetless Seahawks Linebacker
San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw was ejected during a Week 5 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks after headbutting helmetless Seattle linebacker Ernest Jones IV on the sideline. The incident occurred with 6:04 remaining in the second quarter, when the 49ers led 14-10. Greenlaw was initially flagged for a late hit on Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold, which pushed the play onto the Seattle sideline. Following an exchange with Jones, Greenlaw delivered a headbutt, resulting in a 15-yard penalty and his removal from the game. This is Greenlaw’s second ejection in his career, following a previous incident in 2023.
