Meta AI Expands Drug Discovery with Protein Analysis
Meta AI, the research arm of Facebook's parent company Meta Platforms, has developed an AI-based computer program called ESMFold to predict the structure of hundreds of millions of proteins. The program has created a public database of 617 million predicted proteins, which could deepen scientists' understanding of biology and speed up the discovery of new drugs.
