"Dutch and Luxembourg PMs Call for De-escalation in Kosovo"
The prime ministers of the Netherlands and Luxembourg have urged Serbia and Kosovo to de-escalate recent tensions in order to prevent destabilization in the Balkans, particularly as Europe deals with the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The leaders emphasized the importance of both countries taking steps towards normalization of their relations through the EU-led dialogue. Tensions in Kosovo's northern region, home to ethnic Serbs, have been escalating since Pristina declared independence from Serbia in 2008, with recent clashes and disputes over the presence of ethnic Albanian mayors.
