Germany's 10-year government bond yield reached its lowest level in six months as traders anticipate rate cuts from the European Central Bank in early 2024. The drop in bond yields follows comments from ECB official Isabel Schnabel, who stated that further interest rate hikes are unlikely. Traders are now pricing in a 25 basis point rate cut in March and expect nearly 150 basis points of cuts by the end of 2024. Moody's cut its outlook on China's government credit ratings to negative, and the Australian dollar fell after the Reserve Bank of Australia left interest rates unchanged.
