Blair campaigned on progressive policies including a wealth tax, Medicare for All, universal childcare and Green New Deal–style investments, while Marcye framed the race as a continuation of her father’s legacy. The district remains deep-blue, with Jasmine Clark having won the regular primary and seen as the favorite in November; Blair’s win is unlikely to alter the House balance.
