California Cofounder Fired for Skipping His Company's Return-to-Office Mandate Triggers Lawsuit
William Nieporte, cofounder and chief compliance officer of Bramshill Investments, was fired in 2022 for not reporting to the firm’s five‑days‑a‑week return‑to‑office policy. Living in San Ramon, far from the nearest office, Nieporte says the policy applied only to employees and has sued Bramshill, seeking at least $30 million in lost earnings and stake value; Bramshill counters that the rule applied to staff and that Nieporte’s termination was for willful noncompliance. Nieporte now works remotely for a Nevada startup.
