Pentagon expedites delivery of tanks and Patriot systems to Ukraine.
The Pentagon will expedite the delivery of Abrams tanks and Patriot missile defense systems to Ukraine, with the older model of the tanks being sent to the country by this fall instead of the newer version, which would have taken over a year to build and ship. The refurbished tanks will still have advanced armor and weapons systems, including a 120 mm cannon and .50-caliber heavy machine gun. The delivery comes ahead of Ukraine's planned spring offensive against Russian forces.
