UAW's Triumph: From Strike Victory to a Bigger Battle
The United Auto Workers (UAW) has released Ford's factory plans as part of the tentative agreement, which includes $8.1 billion in plant investments by 2023. The plans outline the allocation of future products to various plants, such as the continuation of building the Ford Explorer, F-150, Mustang, and Escape, as well as the addition of new electric vehicle (EV) models. The UAW also secured the right to strike over plant closures or sales. General Motors and Stellantis have not yet released their respective product commitment lists.
