Newcastle's Champions League hopes dashed as Isak and Murphy injured in 0-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund defeated Newcastle United 1-0 in their Champions League match at St James' Park. Felix Nmecha scored the only goal of the game in the first half. Newcastle suffered injuries to Alexandra Isak and Jacob Murphy during the match. The result leaves both teams on four points in Group F, with PSG leading the group. Dortmund's Nmecha had an impressive performance, showcasing his technical ability and scoring a fine goal. Trippier's attacking play left Newcastle vulnerable in defense. Isak's return from injury was cut short as he limped off the pitch. Dortmund's creativity improved without Julian Brandt in the lineup. Eddie Howe's substitutions were hindered by injuries, and Newcastle struggled to find their previous form. Nico Schlotterbeck stood out with his contribution to Dortmund's goal and solid defending. Group F remains finely balanced, with Newcastle needing to win their final home game against AC Milan to secure progress.
