Dragon Quest Earns Hall of Fame Induction Alongside Angry Birds, FIFA, and Silent Hill
The Strong National Museum of Play announced four new games inducted into its Video Game Hall of Fame for 2026: Dragon Quest, Angry Birds, FIFA International Soccer, and Silent Hill, highlighting Dragon Quest’s JRPG legacy and Koichi Sugiyama’s pioneering game music, Angry Birds’ mobile breakthrough, FIFA’s global popularity, and Silent Hill’s genre-defining horror; several other nominees such as Frogger, Galaga, RuneScape, Skyrim, and PaRappa the Rapper were also considered.
