Real BC Aquarium doubles as set for Remarkably Bright Creatures
Netflix's Remarkably Bright Creatures was filmed in real British Columbia locations, with interior scenes shot at the Vancouver Aquarium in Stanley Park and exterior shots around Vancouver (including the Deep Cove Yacht Club standing in for Sowell Bay Aquarium). Additional scenes were filmed in Lions Bay and Maple Ridge. The film, set in the fictional Sowell Bay in Puget Sound, features a real Giant Octopus named Agnetha alongside CGI moments, and arrived on Netflix in May 2026.
