Firefox on iOS gains built-in ad blocking from Mozilla
Mozilla is officially launching a built-in ad blocker for Firefox on iOS, using Apple’s WebKit Content Blocker and the EasyList filter to block most third‑party ads and trackers before they load. It’s disabled by default and can be toggled in Firefox’s settings (Settings > Browsing > Ad Blocker) or during a session from the site menu. Not all ads will be blocked—ads served directly by sites, search results, and sponsored content in new tabs can still appear—making this the first iOS ad blocker for Firefox while rivals like Brave, Vivaldi, and Opera already offer similar features.
