Fitbit Founders Launch Luffu Link: A $250 Wearable for Family Care, Not Fitness
James Park and Eric Friedman, the co-founders of Fitbit, have launched Luffu Link, a screenless wearable designed for family health and safety rather than fitness tracking. Priced at $249.99 for preorder and $299.99 at launch, the device offers LTE connectivity, GPS, and voice recording for health data. It allows users to share location and send check-ins to family members without needing a phone nearby. The band tracks activity, sleep, and heart rate, while recording symptoms and medications via voice. Battery life lasts up to five days. The device is part of a broader ecosystem that includes an AI-powered app and a future home device for coordinating care across households.
