Mercedes-AMG updates the 2027 GLE63 S and GLS63 with a revised M177 Evo 4.0L twin‑turbo V8 paired to a 48‑volt mild‑hybrid system, delivering 603 hp and 627 lb‑ft with a flat‑plane crank for sharper response, plus a new performance exhaust and aero tweaks. The pair use the same nine‑speed automatic and all‑wheel drive, with 0–60 mph times of about 3.6 seconds for the GLE63 S and 3.9 seconds for the GLS63, electronically limited to 174 mph. They gain adaptive air suspension, off‑road Trail mode, and larger wheels, and go on sale this fall.
Mercedes‑AMG is preparing a hardcore CLE Coupé, the second model in the Mythos line, with a new twin‑turbo 4.0‑litre V8 featuring a flat‑plane crank that’s expected to push output beyond 650bhp and torque over 590 lb‑ft, enabling sub‑4.0sec 0–62mph and a top speed near 186mph. The car will sit on heavily revised underpinnings with a widened front track, lower ride height, carbon-fibre roof and a prominent rear wing, and will be produced in a limited run of around 250 units. It’s due to arrive for deliveries in 2027 after winter testing in Sweden and a later official unveiling this year, with the same engine also powering the updated S‑Class slated for reveal soon.
